Birmingham,19 May(HS): Star footballer Indiana Vasilev of Aston Villa has extended his contract with the club for two years. He will now remain with the club until June 2022.
Striker Vasilev has been a regular for Villa’s under-23 team this season. He made his debut for the club’s first team against Fulham in the FA Cup in January. He was then part of the squad against Brighton and Watford in the Carabao Cup semi-final first leg against Leinster City.
The 19-year-old Vasilev said that signing a contract extension with Aston Villa was an easy step for him.
The club’s official website quoted Vasilev as saying, “It was an easy step for me. Last year the club supported me a lot and I was part of the first team.”
“Since I became part of the first team, I have received a lot of support from the staff and the players. I am really happy to extend my contract by two more years,” he added.
